The QMUL South Asia Forum is pleased to host a panel discussion of Waqas Butt’s new book, Life Beyond Waste: Work and Infrastructure in Urban Pakistan (Stanford, 2023). Julia Corwin is Assistant Professor in Environmental Geography at the LSE.

Layli Uddin is Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at QMUL.

This event will be chaired by Majed Akhter, Senior Lecturer in Environment and Society at KCL

Please be aware that the campus has become increasingly securitised, and if you are not a QM student or staff member, you will need to tell the guards at the entrance the details of the event you are attending.
