The South Asia Forum is pleased to welcome Dr Ghazala Jamil to QMUL for this in-person seminar. Dr Jamil will speak about her research into discrimination, segregation and urban environments in India, assessing the conceptual frames available to researchers studying identity-based spatiality in this context.

Ghazala Jamil is Assistant Professor at the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is the author of Accumulation by Segregation: Muslim Localities in Delhi (Oxford, 2017), Muslim Women Speak (Sage-Yoda, 2018) and editor of Women in Social Change (Sage, 2021).
The seminar will be chaired by Amit Rai, Reader in Creative Industries and Arts Organisation, SBM QMUL.
