Description:

The Photo Exhibition “Ukraine: Everyday Resilience” by Yan Dobronosov tells vivid stories of life in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion. Through his photographic lens, the exhibition acts as a form of cultural diplomacy — a quiet, poignant reminder of the ongoing war and the resilience of the people living through it.

Yan Dobronosov is a Ukrainian photojournalist who has been working with Telegraf UA since 2021 and has been documenting the realities of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine since 2022. He received the Order of Merit, 3rd Class on 15 November 2025 for his contribution to Ukrainian journalism.

This exhibition is organised by the Ukrainian Society at Queen Mary University of London, in collaboration with UABeyond and the Centre for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies, and will feature invited guests ranging from representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine to academic experts.

A short panel discussion and Q&A will be followed by a reception with drinks and an opportunity to explore the photographs in greater depth.
