Decolonizing Soviet Studies

(Cross-institutional Network)

Decolonising Soviet Studies (DSS) is a cross-institutional initiative formed by Petr Budrin (QMUL), Pavel Stepanov (Cambridge), and Ksenia Butuzova (Oxford). The group is dedicated to organising cross-disciplinary workshops exploring how imperialism manifested itself in culture, ideology, and language in USSR, as well as the ongoing influence in the present.

The Post-Communist Studies Group is a cross-institutional, interdisciplinary collaboration formed by Neda Genova (Warwick University) and Maria Chehonadskih (QMUL) to investigate the spatio-temporal arrangements and experiences of post-Socialist Europe.

 

 


Eurasian Epistemologies

The Eurasian Epistemologies Group forms a branch of the IHSS Global Epistemologies Research Programme at Queen Mary University of London, examining various forms of local knowledge around the world in a range of domains (cultural heritage, healing, environment, etc.)
