The book maps the rapidly transforming terrain of gender and sexual politics in India under the conditions of global neoliberalism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Srila Roy <\/b>is Professor of Sociology at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. She is the author of <i>Remembering Revolution: Gender, Violence and Subjectivity in India&#8217;s Naxalbari Movement <\/i>(OUP, 2012) and editor of <i>New South Asian Feminisms: Paradoxes and Possibilities <\/i>(Zed Books, 2012).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Participants are encouraged to read &#8216;Preface&#8217; and &#8216;Chapter 1&#8217; ahead of the discussion.
