Giving everyone a seat; the Public History Unit brings world class speakers and historical discussion into the wider domain. This is a project funded by the QMUL School of History aimed at increasing community engagement, interaction and outreach. The Public History Unit is looking to engage with LGBT history month, charities, museums and schools to bring history into the classroom and public domain.
The Public History Unit also publishes a magazine, ‘The Source’ as a means to reach a wider audience. It includes interviews with academics, book reviews and blogs and essays written by students. Participants from all interest areas are welcome to join and participate in the debates, lectures and publications.
