Today\u2019s is about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.history.qmul.ac.uk\/staff\/profile\/dr-emma-sutton\">Emma Sutton<\/a>, postdoctoral fellow on <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.history.qmul.ac.uk\/livingwithfeeling\/\">\u2018Living with Feeling\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>June 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emma\u00a0presented a paper titled &#8216;Hygiene, Habits and Healing: William James on Emotions and Health&#8217; at conference on &#8216;Balancing the Self&#8217; at the University of\u00a0Exeter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>August 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emma presented a paper titled\u00a0&#8216;Psychological Health and Cultures of Care: A Historical Perspective&#8217; at the Royal College of Nursing. The paper focused on Emma&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.history.qmul.ac.uk\/livingwithfeeling\/projects\/childrenpsychologicalhealth\/\">new research<\/a> and explored why historical research is relevant to contemporary healthcare practices \/ policy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emma was\u00a0Medical Humanities producer on a Wellcome Trust-funded society award called <a href=\"http:\/\/surgeonx.co.uk\/\">&#8216;Surgeon X&#8217;<\/a>.
