Today&#8217;s is about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.history.qmul.ac.uk\/staff\/profile\/10189-dr-bonnie-evans\">Dr Bonnie Evans<\/a>, Wellcome Trust-funded postdoctoral fellow\u00a0at the Centre.<br \/>\n1. Bonnie&#8217;s book,\u00a0\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.manchesteruniversitypress.co.uk\/9780719095924\/\" target=\"_blank\">The metamorphosis of autism: a history of child development in England<\/a>,<\/em> is due out in February 2017 with Manchester University Press.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0She has secured Wellcome Trust\u00a0funding for a symposium on &#8216;International histories and sociologies of autism&#8217;. The symposium will bring together international specialists working on this topic and will\u00a0be held at the Centre for the History of Emotions in April 2017.<\/p>\n<p>3. She has begun\u00a0a &#8216;Historians in Residence&#8217;\u00a0project with the Institute for Public Policy Research. The project is\u00a0using historical research to inform contemporary policy concerning\u00a0early years childcare provision in London. The project will result\u00a0in a report for the London Mayor, Sadiq Kahn, and the Greater London Assembly, which will also\u00a0be available as a published report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the next few weeks we&#8217;ll be posting some news round ups.
