The programme will pursue this through:<\/p>\n<p>1) a funding call (open to Queen Mary University of London staff and PhD Students to carry out own research),<\/p>\n<p>2) a series of conversations (exploring indigenous and non-anthropomorphic forms of knowledge and decolonising global cultural heritage),<\/p>\n<p>3) developing large-scale research grants (\u201cLocal Experiences of Early Cinema in the British Colonies\u201d and \u201cColonialism in Highschool Education around the World\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>The programme is headed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qmul.ac.uk\/sllf\/film-studies\/people\/academic\/profiles\/slugan.html\">Dr Mario Slugan.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>CEREES Participants<\/h3>\n<p>Mario Slugan<\/p>\n<p>Andy Willimott<\/p>\n<p>Natalya Chernyshova<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy Hicks<\/p>\n<p>Maria Chehonadskih<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: left\">IHSS Global Epitemologies &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qmul.ac.uk\/ihss\/research\/research-programmes\/global-epistemologies-taking-stock-of-new-cultural-medical-political-and-social-knowledges\/talks\/\">Global Epistemologies Talks Series<\/a><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"max-w-6 mx-auto\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<h2>IHSS Global Epistemologies &#8212; Three general topics are explored:<\/h2>\n<p>1) indigenous knowledge:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>indigenous knowledge as a source of Enlightenment (especially debates stemming from recent work of Graeber and Wengrow),<\/li>\n<li>traditional knowledge and medicine &amp; botany (especially psychoactive substances),<\/li>\n<li>epistemic evaluation of indigenous knowledge (potential for evaluative epistemological meta-systems).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2) decolonising global cultural heritage:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>decolonising art collections (especially the British Museum),<\/li>\n<li>archaeology, ancient DNA &amp;
